The Paddle Rack Method

If you’re managing multiple courts, assign each one a specific color and give players a wristband, paddle cover, or tag to match. When it’s their turn to switch courts, players simply follow their assigned color—easy and efficient.

Even the best system won’t work if players don’t follow proper etiquette. Here are some simple guidelines to keep things running smoothly. 

• Respect the Order: Don’t jump the line! Always respect the order of the paddles. It’s common courtesy to let those who’ve been waiting longer go first. 
• Stay Nearby When It’s Almost Your Turn: Try not to wander off too far when your paddle is close to the front of the line. Players might not wait long if you’re not there when your turn comes up. 
• Take Responsibility for Your Paddle: It’s your responsibility to know where your paddle is in line. While others might remind you, it’s best to stay on top of it so you don’t miss your turn. 
• Don’t Hover Around the Rack: If you’re waiting to play, don’t crowd the paddle rack. Standing too close can create unnecessary pressure. Just hang back a little and let the system do its thing.
